The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College graduated 60 personnel following the completion of their courses.
Addressing the graduants, Dr Kwaku Agyemang Mensah, Minister of
Water Resources, Works and Housing, who was the Guest Speaker, who read a
speech on behalf of Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur, said
having gone through rigorous and demanding joint courses for the past 45
weeks, they should use their knowledge and skills acquired to serve the
nation at all times.
He assured the college that the government would support the 50-
suit accommodation block funded by Ghana Education Trust Fund to be
wholly completed by the end of 2016 to facilitate residential courses
all year round.
Professor Franklyn Acheampong Manu, Rector of Ghana Institute of
Management and Public Administration echoed his satisfaction to see the
student successfully combine three masters programmes; Msc Science in
Defence and National Politics, Msc in Governance and Leadership Studies
and Msc of Arts and International Affairs.
The graduants were awarded for distinguishing themselves during the course.
Major Dominic Buah who was adjudged the overall best was handed a 55-inch led television, a big commandant shield and a book.
A tribute was read in honour of the late Major Ibrahim Danlami, a
Nigerian Army student, who was due to graduate but died 10 days to the
graduation day.
