Three persons were burnt to death in a fire incident at a house in Daboya in the Northern region of Ghana.
Local officials said the fire started when some chainsaw operators
exposed themselves to petrol that they were transferring into a smaller
container. The fuel got in contact with a fire that was being used to
cook and torched the building.
The inferno razed down the five-bedroom house of the operators, killing the three in the process on Saturday.
Starr News understands one person is in critical condition at the SDA Hospital in Tamale.
Reports say there is no fire station in the district and the
residents were helpless as they watched the building being consumed in
the flames.
The District Chief Executive of the North Gonja District Sorku Yahuza has appealed for a fire post to avoid future occurrence.
