President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been
enskinned as the Development Chief of his hometown Wa with the title,
Jen Jeng Naa Sung Maale.
Nyantakyi who was re-elected to serve another four-year term at
Tuesday's GFA Extra-Ordinary Congress was enskinned by the Paramount
Chief of the Wa Traditional Area, Naa Alhaji Fuseini Pelpuo IV at a
ceremony held on Saturday in the Upper West Regional capital.
The GFA President's new title Jen Jeng is a famous crocodile pond in
Wa while Sung Maale means 'development' in the native Wala language.
This comes months after Mr. Nyantakyi was enskinned as the "Boole
Naa" (Football Chief) by the Dagkpema Naa of Tamale for Ghana's
achievements in football since he became GFA President.
The GFA boss was also recently re-elected to serve another term as
President of WAFU Zone B which sees him maintain his position as member
of CAF's Executive Committee.
