Klottey Korle Constituency Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Muhammed Bashiru Nii Na Alema, has said reports circulating that his executives are against Dr. Ezenator Rawings as an aspiring Member of Parliament for the constituency is “untrue”. According to him – majority of the executives are in support of former President John Jerry Rawlings’ daughter. “We [constituency executives] rather believe that she is the only candidate who can win the Klottey Korle seat for the NDC in the 2016 election,” he said. But the constituency secretary - Richmond Dizzy Quaye was reported to have denied ever knowing Dr. Ezenator in the constituency. “Well, she is not known in the constituency and we the executives are not really aware of her. I can’t say the NDC members in this area know her as an active member,” he said. However, speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "GHANA MONTIE", chairman Muhammed Bashiru Nii Na Alema insisted that – “Dr. Ezenator has been participating in the constituency. Recently she was among those who helped the Circle fire-flood disaster victims. She is well known here in Klottey Korle. Very instrumental”. He also told host Kwasi Aboagye that – “Majority of the executives fully support her. She will never lose the primaries, she will win”. Adding that – “We have not rejected her…members fully support her”.
