The
Akyeamehene at Donkoto and a 50-year old woman have committed what is
considered an abomination by having sex in the bush in the Atwima Mponua
District of the Ashanti Region.
A native of the town who spoke
with Nhyira News said a group of children including the chief linguist’s
son who had gone catapulting stumbled on the two love birds.
The
seventy year-old Akyeamehene, Yaw Donkor pleaded with them not to
expose them but the children ignored their plea and informed the chief
of the town.
Upon hearing the bizarre story, the chiefs and elders summoned the Akyeamehene to the palace.
The
septuagenarian was summoned to the palace where he was sanctioned for
the misconduct believed to be a recipe for potential calamity for the
town.
According to an elder of the chief’s palace, the
Akyeamehene has been ordered to pay a fine of one ram, 550 Ghana cedis
and bottles of schnapps to appease the gods. |
