Some
youth within the four Quarters of the Osu Stool in the Greater Accra
Region are threatening mayhem at the Osu Chief's planned dinner to raise
funds at Banquet Hall tomorrow (Saturday.
They contended that
the four Quarters who were the true custodians of the Osu Stool would
not countenance chief (Nii Kinka IV) attempt to raise funds in the name
of the Stool.
They claim that the Chief has been imposed on them through some
government machinations and as far as they are concerned the
chieftaincy matters in Osu remains unresolved so no party in the
matter had the right to do anything in the name of the Osu Stool.
According to the group leaders, Steven Nii Noi Omaboe and Richard Nii
Adumuah
Nortey and the Asafoatsemei as of now the matter is still in court and
all parties involved, including the Osu Traditional
council have been served by court to restrain from all activities in
respect of the Stool so no one had the right to raise funds in the
name of the Stool.
They said, “We are therefore urging all the invitees and patrons going
for that fund raising dinner to be advised on the matter and take
precautions in that regard, for the sake of peace”. |
