Chieftaincy Minister Dr. Henry Seidu Daanaa will today pick forms to
contest in the Wa East parliamentary primaries of the ruling National
Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Daanaa is seeking to unseat incumbent Ameen Salifu to represent the people of Wa East constituency in the Upper West region.
With just 10 days to the close of nominations for parliamentary and
presidential primaries for the party, a number of party stalwarts have
declared their intension to contest by picking forms over the last few
days.
Speaking to Starr News, Dr. Daanaa said he is confident of winning the November 7 polls and subsequently the 2016 elections.
“I don’t think it's surprising if I contest to go to parliament.
It’s for the good of the country, our democracy and the whole of West
Africa.
“I have done my work on the grounds and I know how fertile the
grounds are for me. You don’t go into these things without doing the
necessary research. I am confident of victory,” he stated.
